Help wanted for two positions for upcoming season:
Memorial Day Weekend-Labor Day Weekend
May 25th-September 8th.
Part Time Experienced Photographer ($20/hour)
Part Time Office Help ($12-15/hour)
Serendipity Snapshots is a busy Whitewater Photography business that operates Memorial Day to Labor Day on the Trinity River in Big Flat, CA. We are open every day during the summer months to capture all the splashy and fun action at a rapid called Hells Hole.
This job is located 1.5 hours away from Redding and Arcata.

This is an excellent seasonal job for people with a skill in fast paced action photography and an interest in the outdoors.
You will be expected to provide our clientele with consistent high quality images. For many that travel down the river on a commercial trip, this is a once in a lifetime adventure, and we only get one shot to get these photos.
Camera is provided. You must have experience with action photography and DSLR.. We shoot with a Canon 7D Markii. Quick note: If your only experience with photography is your cell phone or a point and shoot, please consider gaining more experience and re applying next year.
You will be working outdoors, and temperatures can soar into the triple digits, please be aware that you will need to be prepared for this and have plenty of water and salty snacks.
The beginning and ending of your day will vary, but typically your day will start between 10:30/12 AM and go until the last boat gets through, which is anywhere from 4-5pm. You will be expected to arrive on time and with everything needed to be at the river for an extended period of time.
This is a quirky job. Some days there are no boats on the water, and on those days I will not be able to provide work. I always do my best to alert my staff if that is the case.
It is definitely recommended that you bring a book, as there can be a lot of downtime.
If getting paid to hang out by the river under a cool leafy canopy whilst reading a book and occasionally snapping some photos sounds like your idea of a good time, respond with a little bit about yourself and your experience with photography. (See dog photo at bottom of page, she's cute, but I unfortunately had to fire her as she kept sleeping on the job)
Experienced Photographer Pay will start at $20.00/Hour
Part Time Office Help:
Training will be provided. Knowledge of rafts and kayaks is very helpful, but not necessary.
Office work entails downloading CF cards as soon as they come in. You will need to sort, organize and correctly label photos at a fast pace. We use HP laptops.
We use Square Point of Sale.
Your day will typically start at 1pm, and you must be prompt. You will need a working vehicle. Our busiest days happen to be the holidays, so be prepared to work Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, and Labor Day Weekend.
Pay is $12.00/hour in June and $15.00/hr in July & August. Possibility for tips.
